

Dieter Schleifenbaum, born 29 December 1950 in Fleisbach, is an educated photographer, artist, designer. He is a father of two sons and is living and working as a media designer and business manager at the Alster Atelier Mediendesign und Kommunikation GmbH in Hamburg.
1973 a photo series in Paris developped.
During his long lasting friendship with Helga Kneidl, he started to become more and more interested in Romy Schneider's life and work. After a coincidental finding of a convolute of unknown Romy Schneider letters, the idea for a book developped already years ago.
2008 he overtook the administration of the Romy Schneider archive. Access have increased since then continously almost up to 800.000 page impressions monthly on www.romy.de.
