Welcome to "ROMY SCHNEIDER WORLD"

"The memory is often the best thing in life..."
(Quote: Romy Schneider, 26.11.1954)

Introduction
1973 Pablo Picasso dies, the first Skylab Mission launches and the beverage can with ring-pull is
invented. 1973 Romy Schneider is shooting four movies: "The Train" and "Love at the Top" with
Jean-Louis Trintignant. "Loving in the Rain" with Nino Castelnouvo and "The Infernal Trio" with
Michel Piccoli.

The photographer Helga Kneidl takes her Leica M5 and her Hasselblad and starts her journey to
Paris for a photo-shoot with Romy Schneider.
The atmosphere, the smell of the city between spring and summer. The turmoil in the little sidewalk
café's. A normal woman called Romy is living with the myth "Sissi", her marriage just fell apart and
she is looking for a new beginning in a city that welcomes her. But she is not alone, she brought her
son David and her assistant Daniel Biasini who takes care of everything for her.
Plus, she is in the city of love, Paris...

"I am becoming a Parisian again. All of the stage's of my life started in France. I am starting from
scratch and am glad about it. I went back to Paris at every turning point of my life. I have never cried
about passed events. Paris is a new beginning."

Paris in may. Incredible days with an easygoing, carefree, unbiased and natural Romy; she is beautiful
and photogenic. The perfect snapshots result from her acting as if there was no camera.
Pictures with soul. Pictures that are timeless and vivid.

Without a doubt the most beautiful and natural pictures of Romy Schneider.
